Slick, charismatic and busy! āZenless Zone Zero" is a game-changer in the urban gaming scene, combining sleek, futuristic aesthetics with adrenaline-pumping action. The way the game is presented to the player is very much ambiguous, but draws you in with its technicalities, characters and wordy dialogue. I was astonished at such an ambitious title being a free to play game and equally surprised at the micro-transaction approach. Set in a post-apocalyptic metropolis, the game offers a visually stunning environment that feels both gritty and stylish. The combat is fluid and dynamic, with each character bringing unique abilities that keep battles fresh and exciting. The gameās fashion-forward character designs and edgy vibe are a huge draw for any hype-beast out there. There are clear influences from āDevil May Cryā and popular anime titles such as āDemon Slayerā.

Story wise the characters interact and reveal the story through a mixture of beautiful comic book panels, side-by-side npc dialogue and cutscenes bursting with animation. It is a seamless experience which prevents the player from getting bored. Exploring the city is decent enough, paying homage to the āPersonaā series in ways. But what glues this package altogether is the TV traversing levels, which offer another fun change of pace. Here there are plenty of items to pick up, pathways to open and villains to either avoid or battle at your discretion.
There is a lot going for Z.Z.Z and it will only improve when the developers release their new patches for the game in the near future. If I could give one critique, it would be that itās just so busy there is tooĀ much to take in at times (lol).
